Modernizing Classic Literature
Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel by American writer Ray Bradbury, first published in 1953. It is regarded as one of his best works. The novel presents a future American society where books are outlawed and "firemen" burn any that are found. It is s so impactful that it remains a class to this day. However, the covers have become outdated. This project show how a rebranding followed by a promotional campaign can enhance the importance and leave an even bigger impact. The cover was created to feel modernized and convey typography as an image. As a part of a multimedia campaign, poster advertising, social media graphics and a promotional animation were created to engage a millennial audience. Animated GIFS were created for Instagram to break free from traditional stagnant posts.
